    We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Irrigation and Lighting Technician to join our growing team. As the Irrigation and Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for facilitating and executing the completion of irrigation installation jobs and landscape lighting projects for commercial and residential clients.  This is a hands-on service technician position- mechanical skills are necessary!  


    The Irrigation and Lighting Technician position is year-round and can lead to a managerial or crew leader role once fully trained.

    What you'll do as the Irrigation and Lighting Technician:

    • Install, service, maintain and repair commercial and residential irrigation systems
    • Repair and maintain valves, trace electrical components, install and initialize clocks and timers
    • Install, operate, troubleshoot and repair low-voltage outdoor lighting systems
    • Execute job installations within given project parameters and budgets
    • Coordinate and communicate regularly with Project Manager, department supervisors and client if necessary
    • Maintain inventory records for the department
    • Complete daily paperwork and hourly tracking on installation projects
    • Ensure safety policies are understood and enforced at all times
    • Willing to take classes and continuous training to meet all State and County requirements as needed
    • Perform additional duties as assigned


    Requirements for Irrigation and Lighting Technician:

    • 2+ years plumbing or irrigation service/installation experience AND/OR
    • 2+ years of experience with electrical or lighting installation and service
    • Valid NYS Drivers License
    • Connecticut J3 or J4 License desired 
    • Ability to walk/bend/stand/climb on ladders and steps for 8+ hours
    • Ability to carry heavy items up to 100lbs.
    • Must be available to work 6am-6pm and Saturdays if needed
    • Computer and smart-phone efficient
    • Back-flow Assembly Tester (BAT) License a plus!
